Living Here

Fair & Friendly

in the Heart of the Mississippi Hills

If you are looking to relocate anywhere, New Albany is a good place to consider. With A-rated schools, low taxes, low real estate prices, a great location (less than a half hour from Tupelo and about an hour from Memphis), a regional medical center and many opportunities for employment and recreation, New Albany will more than meet your needs whether you’re raising a family or looking at retirement.

If you like old homes, New Albany has plenty of turn of the twentieth century neighborhoods with tree lined streets and sidewalks. From grand old homes to fixer-uppers, many of these homes have high ceilings, hardwood floors and tall windows. In recent years these older neighborhoods have become increasingly populated by entrepreneurs, artists and retired couples who will sometimes buy a house for themselves and one to rent out. Reasonable prices and low taxes allow them to do so.

While there is a waiting list, a number of high-end loft dwellings are available downtown.

There are also a good number of newer subdivisions in New Albany and on its outskirts.

For those wishing to rent, New Albany has two very nice apartment complexes and a number of rental homes available.
