GARBAGE PICK UP
Regular household garbage and rubbish pick up (which means yard debris and junk) occurs in the city limits weekly. Listed below are the schedules.
New Albany Household Trash (in bags in trash cans at curbside) pickup happens as follows:
- Monday – North New Albany, the area north of Bankhead Street between HWY 15 North and the Tallahatchie River.
- Tuesday – South Central New Albany, the area between Bankhead Street and the HWY 78 Bypass north and south, and between HWY 15 South and the Tallahatchie River east and west.
- Wednesday – East and South New Albany, all the area east of HWY 15 and all the area south of the HWY 78 Bypass on the east side of the Tallahatchie River.
- Thursday – Northwest New Albany, the area north of West Bankhead Street and west of the Tallahatchie River.
- Friday – West New Albany, the area south of West New Albany, the area south of West Bankhead Street and west of the Tallahatchie River.

Rubbish collection occurs once per week per area in the city limits.
